All middle and high school band members are selling the fudge. The sale runs until January 12th, when all order forms need to be turned into either Mr.  Roemer or Mr. Moonitz. The Boosters, adult volunteers, and high school band members will make the fudge on Saturday, January 30th beginning at 8am in the high school's home economics' room. All are welcome and encouraged to come and help. You can help as much or as little as your schedule allows. Orders will be delivered on February 1st and then all money will be due February 17th. If you would like to help, please contact Rick Giuliano (868-9678) or Diann Bielefeld (756-9107) to find out more details.

Dear Ross Band Families

The Band Boosters will be looking for new leadership for the next school year. Three leadership positions will need to be filled; President, Vice President, & Secretary. If you are interested in running for one of the offices or if you would like to be part of the nominating committee, please contact Alan Tillery (738-1102 or ajtillery@fuse.net). Refer to the "Booster Officer Roles" in your high school student's band director or clink on this link "Booster Officer Roles" to read the "job" description for the officers. Also, please keep in mind that several parents who are currently committee chairs are senior parents and they won't be here next school year. Please consider becoming a chairperson or co-chairperson of a committee, a fundraiser, or a service.  More information about chairperson vacancies to come in the future.

Director's Notes

Winter Concert is Dec. 17 @ 7:00 PM.  There is no admission fee to theconcert but we would like to ask all audience members to bring a canned good donation as your admission price.  We will donate the cans to Shared Harvest Bank.

All Students need to report no later than 6:30 pm.

All guys in Concert band need a white tuxedo shirt and black shoes/socks.

All girls in Concert band need black dress shoes and appropriate hosiery.

The rest of the uniform is provided by the band - and maintained by Mrs. B (thanks).  Guys wear a black tuxedo and girls wear a long black concert dress.

Jazz Band members all need the same thing - white tux shirt, black pants, black shoes/socks.

Tux shirts are available from Skeffingtons at Northgate mall.  Just a plain white tux shirt is what everyone needs.

Last but not least, if you need an inexpensive Christmas present for your band member - consider buying them a nice metronome.  I like the BOSS DB-30. These are available at music stores or online.

Also - You can always talk to me about buying a new step-up instrument for your student.  Nothing makes a student practice more than a new instrument - it is amazing!

Thanks

Mr. Roemer
